Saturday at the farmers market

I grab my camera and my reusable bag, lock up the 1921 bungalow, and make the five-block journey to the Oak Park Farmers' Market. It is, hands down, my favorite way to spend a Saturday morning in Sacramento. Here are just a few reasons why...

Just yesterday, I saw a truck loaded with garlic. Obviously, it's the season.

And for sunflowers, too.
These tall beauties were raised on Heavy Dirt Farm in Davis.

It took some Heavy Dirt to raise these roasting veggies and green beans.

But there's nothing heavy about these bouquets.
Why do they remind me of a June bride?
